Broken Camera

My nice Canon camera that Erich gave me is broken again. I dropped it back in October and had it fixed. Now all of the sudden it will not turn on or even make a noise. I sent the camera to Canon last week to be fixed, but have not heard from them. To top it off, Peyton had his first ice cream cone from the Ice cream man, a dreamsicle push pop and I missed photographing it. He has done several cute things around the house and I've missed them. I am going to start using Erich's camera to capture moments. I hope I can figure out his big mama jama thing. So if you don't see pics from us for a while you will know why.

Priceless

6 chai lattes- 2,000 calories
3 banana chocolate muffins-800 calories
4 pieces of pizza- 900 calories
4 number ones from Chick-fil-a up sized- 4000 calories
one mojito and 2 glasses of wine- 600 calories
countless number of chocolate chip cookies and dough- ? calories

One trip to RPM to try and work off some of the calories- priceless

Okay, so I exaggerated the calories. I have no clue how many calories I consumed in 6 days. All I know is that I am 5-6 pounds heavier than when I left Mobile last week. Hopefully some of it is water weight..... I am now counting my calories and thinking about what goes in my mouth. For the FIRST time since Peyton was born I did NOT buy chocolate chip cookie dough to eat my regular daily spoonful. And by spoonful...I mean BIG spoonful. I am really trying to at least get back down to 140 pounds instead of 147. Wish me luck...you all know how much I like chocolate.

Lettie's Challenge

Okay Letitia here it is. By the way, I saw that you called today while I was getting my hair cut. I will call you back tomorrow. I have been so out of the communication loop of late. Lettie tagged me to do a blog by number and so I tag Jamie and Kresta to try this next.

25- The number of lariope grass plants that I transported from the front flowerbeds to the backyard...hard work.

6- chapters read yesterday in a great book that Katie sent me in the mail.

2 the number of minutes my eyebrow bled today when my hairdresser plucked skin instead of an eyebrow hair...ouch!!!

4- hours Erich had to drive to Birmingham today for business. He ate at the Cheesecake factory all alone. :(

3- trips to a place called Blair's Nursery to pick out new flowers for the flowerbeds

20- encore azaleas that will be here Saturday, which means yard work all weekend to plant them.

6- cupcakes out of 36 that are leftover from Peyton's little birthday party on Friday

9- days until Grace turns two...my little girl is growing up...

5- funny faces that Peyton made when my mom fixed him milk for the first time today.

30- number of times I voted for Gokey tonight on American Idol.

Wow, this is fun....and can last forever. I had thought of some other things earlier, but now I have forgotten them. Okay girls, what can you come up with? thanks Lettie for the challenge.

Successful Party

Well, the party is over and Peyton is in bed. He did great for the time of day and the amount of people that were here to see him. He ate cake, opened gifts, and headed to bed. It took him a while to wind down, but eventually fell asleep. Here are some pics from the event....

Happy First Birthday!

I can't believe my little Peyton Pie is one year old today. He woke up on the wrong side of the crib and even cried this morning when I walked in singing happy birthday to him. Maybe it was my bad singing! Jaime reminded me this morning that a year ago now I was doped up on epidural awaiting Peyton's arrival! What an awesome year it has been and how quickly it has flown by! Peyton brings such joy to our lives and I can't wait to see what God has in store for this little sweetie pie!
