Font Website

I read about the coolest handwriting font website in the Creating Keepsakes magazine for this month. The site is KevinandAmanda.com and there are tons of free fonts for you digital scrapbookers. She also has tons of recipes and other sites posted. Apparently she really likes fonts and will even turn your handwriting into one if you email it to her, so check it out. Who can beat free fonts? The actual site from the mag. is kevinandamanda.com/fonts/fontsforpeas

Lunch

Here are some pics of our weekend fun with the firetruck, helicopter, driving Bubba's Dart, and Aunt Beth's shower. Busy, Busy

Every Wednesday my dad and I go to a place called Dick Russell's BBQ for lunch. I have started looking forward to this Wed. time of just he, Peyton, and me. We usually invite Beth, but she is too busy with work and wedding stuff. On Wed. they have a great lunch special of a meat and 2 veggies plus banana pudding. We get the roast beef and the yams that are to DIE for. They taste like a dessert and they only serve them on Wed. and Sunday. So, last week i let Peyton try some of my banana pudding and that sucker ate it ALL. So this week we bought him his own. If I stop shoveling it in he starts snorting and waving his hands. He is addicted. I will have to take some pics. next week and make it a scrapbook page for he and Bubba(my dad).

Feeling Better around Here

Well, the Holderer household is almost better....Erich still has his sinus infection, but will have a CT scan to see what is going on in that head of his..I could tell them, but they don't ask me. Most likely what is going on can't be explained anyway...ha,ha

On another note, we had a fun weekend. We braved dinner Friday night at Big Time with a guy from Erich's work and his two kids. They were all well behaved. When we left this woman asked me how old they all were and so I told her. She said bless your heart, you have your hands full. I thought it was funny that I was there with TWO men and three kids and she thought they were all mine...I guess she didn't think it odd that there were 2 baby daddy's there....

On Sat. my dad entered his Dodge Dart into a car show. We took Peyton in his little buggy and had a great time. He sat in the seat and drove the car. WE also got pics of him in an old fashioned firetruck and sitting in a Coast Guard helicopter. He had a blast. After that I had a pedicure with my sister Beth and then headed to a shower for her with Peyton. He had a fun time at his first girly function. I'll post some pics tomorrow when I am on the upstairs computer.

On Sunday we slept in...again. Then Erich watched Peyton while I went shopping with my mom. It was a great day of Starbucks, new shoes, and shirts. I had made some things for mom and so she treated me to some shopping as payment. too sweet.

Well, that is all here...next weekend Erich said we have to do yardwork....ugh!

The Bachelor

Okay, I can't believe I am so obsessed with a show that I am blogging about it over my child. I feel so sorry for Melissa! I was proud of what she said in standing up to Jason. She is the one with her head on her shoulders. He is so dumb! He wants his cake and eat it too. He really got a shot with both of them. Date one, didn't like it, so I'll date the other one. THEN, I can't believe Molly actually took him back without a fight. She had NO questions answered and just said okay and made out with him. Is she dumb or what? I was wanting her to do all women in AMerica a favor and tell him where to stick it. She should have at least had the dignity to get some answers first. Who knows what they will throw at us tonight. I watched Jason on Jimmy Kimmel Live and it was hilarious. jimmy pounded Jason with questions and one liner jokes. Worth DVRing and watching this morning. So what are your thoughts?

Busy, Busy Boy

We have been busy, busy around here! Peyton is a fast moover on those knees and now he is even using his car as a walker and is speeding around the kitchen. I am keeping my mom's dog Annie while they are on vacation. The one picture is of Peyton chewing on her leash, but previous to that he was walking her around the neighborhood. We were quite a site with me pushing Peyton in his car and holding Grace on her leash...then Peyton held Annie's leash and she just walked right beside him. He had a death grip on the leash, so she wasn't going anywhere. He is saying Ma Ma all the time now. It is the cutest thing and grabs my heart every time. He even calls Grace..."Gru". He has gotten to where he buries his face when he sees her coming because he knows Grace is going to try to lick him. Too funny!

On another note, I am almost caught up with Peyton's scrapbook. I am on 7 month pictures and have actually jumped ahead on some things, like this Mardi Gras page. We took P to his first parade two weekends ago. We were going to go to some bigger parades this past weekend, but were all three sick...again. So, I came home and made the following page. Also, I have been doing some sewing. This is a diaper holder and wipes case I made for a friend of mine having her first little girl.

Well, P is asleep and I am catching up on some emailing and photo downloading! Happy Mardi Gras Today!!!!

Kuwait

Well, my brother, John, left for Kuwait a week ago tomorrow. It was hard on the family to know he is thousands of miles away in the desert in a war torn country. He called last night to wish Erich a happy birthday, but I didn't answer the phone b/c I didn't recognize the number. I almost cried when I heard the message. Thankfully, he called back five minutes later and we got to talk about what life is like for him. Now that I am a mom, I can't imagine what my mom is going through. I look at little Peyton and can't imagine in 20 years sending him off to college, much less war. Mom cried when they dropped him off at the airport two weeks ago...after John left. She tried to be brave for him. I was not so brave. I cried while hugging him. We are trusting in God to keep him save and bring him home to us. Please keep him in your prayers and also my parents because this is really hard on them too.

Chip off the Old Block

Okay...warning....this blog contains crude male humor, namely Erich humor to those of you who know him well. Last night Erich was laying on the floor of my scrapbook room on his belly. Peyton started crawling up his legs. Erich said, "Peyton, watch out, I might fart on you." I told him that was nasty. A few minutes later, a loud fart came to which I couldn't believe Erich would fart on his son. He started laughing and said," It wasn't me...it was Peyton!" Peyton looked up and started giggling, waving his arms, and bouncing up and down! He KNEW what he had done and thought it was funny. We couldn't stop laughing! What was even better was that he gave Erich a piece of his own medicine.
